So blessed to be so loved.

Andrew is fortunate to be loved by so many people.  Here are just a few of the family and friends that have met Andrew so far.

First Visitors - Gram, Grandpa, Grandmom and Aunt Amanda...
who waited patiently at the hospital ALL day long for his arrival.

Other Hospital Visitors

Some family and friends visited us in the hospital, but we didn't get pictures of them :(
Not pictured family: Great Aunt Cyndi, Great Uncle Tim and Great Aunt Sue

Two Future Friends who came to visit once Andrew came home:
Andrew was a little too tired to enjoy his first visit with Petra, born 6/8/11.
But, he was kinda grumpy at his first visit from Juliet, born 7/22/11.

A little background on how we got here...

As of tomorrow, Mike and I will have been parents for only 7 weeks, but it already seems like we can't remember life B.A. - Before Andrew.  Andrew Michael Foster came into our lives on Tuesday, August 9th, 2011... after a VERY long wait... but it could not have been more worth it.
Lorimar State Park
After over a year of trying to start a family, I found out I was expecting the day before Thanksgiving 2010.  We had a lot to be thankful for indeed!

Best feeling ever!

I was one of the lucky pregnant women who had little nausea, gained a basketball for a belly, and generally had few complaints (although Mike may disagree about the amount of complaining I did).
Incubating my baby.  Andrew's first trip to Morris Arboretum - he was 1 day late in this picture!
Unfortunately, an "easy" pregnancy is apparently no indication of how a delivery will go.  I labored for 27 hours before I was wheeled to the O.R. and Andrew was finally brought into the world.
Waiting patiently... post epidural, pre-pushing.
Andrew has been amazing from Day 1.  The doctors said he was a superstar throughout all my contractions, he latched on perfectly in the recovery room, and he weighed in at a surprising 8 lbs 11 oz (the docs all said that maybe he would be 7 lbs - HA!).  He is now in the 90th percentile in all areas, weighing 11 lbs 11 oz at his 1 month check up.  We were at a party last week with 4 other infants - Andrew was the youngest and the biggest!
