Getting into the spirit: We bought some lights this year, which Andrew loved... and while playing with the cord, he found them quite shocking! (He's fine, but I'm hoping he learned his lesson.)
Pumpkin carving! Andrew wanted no part in carving the pumpkins (he has never really been into this part for some reason... which I just don't get considering making a mess and digging is his thing!), but Addison was all about helping Mommy and Daddy.
After the initial cleaning of just 2 pumpkins, we only ended up completing 1 of them... we had intention on doing the other, but it molded too quickly! AND, I never got to light my Tinkerbell pumpkin because it too had mold all inside by the time Halloween hit. Next year, we will wait until the night before. For the record... I did this one ALL by myself. :)

Inspired by our trip to Disney this year, the kiddos dressed as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell for Halloween! I decided to make their costumes rather than buy something, they turned out okay, but definitely not worth the aggravation. I think these kids could be in a brown paper bag and look cute though, so consider yourself warned - we took a million pics!
I got his dagger on Etsy and I LOVE it!
Yep! Addison's standing on her own!
Halloween day, the forecast looked like this:
It hasn't rained since April, and it ends up raining on the one day where kids want to be outside! Luckily, around 5:30pm it stopped raining so we bundled up and headed to the neighbors. Our neighbors, Abby and Steve had also decided they were doing a Peter Pan theme, because their daughter, Shelby loves Tinkerbell. They got way more into it though - Abby dressed as Captain Hook, Steve was Smee, and baby Holly was Tiger Lily. Andrew's favorite part of the night was fighting Captain Hook! For WEEKS he has been asking us to pretend we're Captain Hook and he gives us various household items to use as our swords. To have a real Captain Hook with her very own sword was definitely the highlight of the night!
Tinkerbell Shelby and Peter Pan getting a ride. (Andrew got over trick or treating pretty quickly, and Mike had to go back for the wagon.)
Some extra pics of Addison as a.... dinosaur? Alligator? Dragon? We aren't really sure where this costume came from, but it looked so cute on her, I had to share.
Happy Halloween!
