Pumpkins picking pumpkins

We tried a new "pumpkin patch" this year - Dell'Osso Family Farms - which was complete with a train ride, a tram ride, a hayride and a "Scarecrow" ride... it was a lot of riding around in pretty much the same circles looking at nothing really, but Andrew loved it all!  Well, all of it except the Pumpkin Blasters, where we shot mini pumpkins at the speed of 90 miles per hour at targets... he did NOT like doing that one bit.  The pumpkin patches here are basically fields with pre-picked pumpkins, all looking almost exactly the same, lined up in a dusty field. At least in the past years we had pretty green fields as a backdrop... the drought this year made for dirty kids and bland-ish photos.  And, we didn't even buy a single pumpkin at the first stop!

Getting these two to pose is next to impossible.

On the Tram ride...

Andrew waving to the train that goes on the same loop as the tram in the reverse direction.

Waiting in the corn field for our "Scarecrow ride" where we judged scarecrows
created by local schools and girl scout/boy scout troops.

Andrew freaking out during the Pumpkin shooting...

Since we didn't buy any pumpkins on Day 1, we headed back to our past "haunt" - Joan's Farm in Livermore.
Addison was NOT into the pumpkin patch shoot!

Andrew was more interested in seeing how many pumpkins he could fit
into the wagon than on picking out the right pumpkin.

Yee Haw!

That's a lot of cute little pumpkins!
