This post is dedicated to my little light, Addison, who had her second birthday earlier this month.
At two years old, Addison is a walking paradox. She is light-hearted but sensitive, always hungry and eating but extremely petite, has a large vocabulary but terrible annunciation, loves to read books but hates to sit still, super sweet but definitely sassy, and all girl but wants to do everything her brother does.
She is incredibly aware and is always surprising me with what she has absorbed. She is happy, silly, loves doing puzzles and being outdoors, worships Andrew and is currently a Mommy's girl (this changes regularly). She is not a morning person. She is currently in a hitting phase and rips books (both of which drive me bonkers, but are supposedly developmentally normal... ugh). She is stubborn, very messy, and does not try to "help" mommy clean up when asked... ever.
Addison likes pizza, spaghetti, jelly sandwiches and smoothies. She still sleeps in her crib and uses binkies (which she named by herself, we always called them pacifiers) - both of which I am very content with for now. She loves all of her stuffed animals and doesn't have a particular favorite, but she must have one of her Aden and Anais blankies for soothing. Her favorite books right now are Elmo Search and Find, Elmer and Eeyore (weird they are all E's?) - but those will probably all change next month. Her favorite show is Caillou. Her funniest saying right now is, "No, that's fine".
She makes me smile every single day. I am so grateful to be her mommy.
Addison's birthday: She came down in the morning to decorations and a new play kitchen!
And the party (oh yeah... she loves Minnie too):
I see both my girls and a whole lot more! Love, Pop
