Aloha! Part 2

Since Aloha means both "Hello" and "Goodbye" - it really is the proper title for my two part Hawaii series... Sorry for the delay!!!

Up first - Random Beach Pics!

Step 1 - Head down

 Step 2 - Leg up
Step 3 - Hmmm...

Sea Turtles!! Mike got some great GoPro footage (that eventually will be ready for public viewing) during his MANY snorkeling excursions in the Bay. I believe Amanda got this particular shot!. They're so cool!

Polynesian Cultural Center - On Friday afternoon, Gram, Mike, the kids and I went about 20 minutes down the road from Turtle Bay to the Polynesian Cultural Center. My overall review is - the center is really cool, but I wish we had splurged on a guide. The map they give you is terrible and it's hard to plan your day to be in the right villages at the right time. I felt like we spent too much time trying to decide where to go or wandering around hoping we'd find a presentation, rather than actually enjoying how cool it really is there. Andrew LOVED the "soldiers" as he called ever Tiki sculpture we came to... I'm pretty sure he misheard "sculpture" and thought the "soldiers" were cool. We came home with two - one from Mexico and one from China. Oh well.

Mike tells me they found these on the ground somewhere...
Here comes the King...
... and there he goes.
Immediately after that, Andrew made an offering of his coconut into the river with a huge splash.

There's the King again!
We listened to a great presentation on how to make coconut oil. This man was really cool.

At the Fiji Presentation

And here are the pictures of Andrew next to every soldier... I mean, sculpture... at the center. This was at his request.

On Saturday, the Fosters and Gram and Pop went to Kualoa Ranch so Mike and I could go horseback riding. (Amanda and Mike went zip lining instead.) A big thank you to Gram and Pop here, because apparently there wasn't much for them to do with the kids while we were riding. I was super happy to get the chance to ride again and the scenery was beautiful, but we weren't close to the water or beach, so I'd pick a beach trail ride next time!

Notice my GoPro!

I am on Blue and Mike is on Boomer. :)
This was it for the entertainment...
Yep - that's the GoPro on his head.

Family Photo Shoot - Gotta love the clashing Hawaiian prints and blurry iPhones!

On our last day, the sea grew angry, my friends. We couldn't have picked a better day to leave on. We woke up in the morning to this:

It was an amazing trip. I can't wait to go back some day!!
