September - Grammy visits and we head South!

Ok, playing catch up here, so this will be light on text, heavy on pictures! September brought Grammy!! And a trip to Disneyland (our first),

In our NEW minivan headed to DISNEY!!!

Grammy took Andrea and Addison on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree.
We quickly realized the Cars theme park was NOT the right choice for Addison after just having been in a car accident! :(

 

Radiator Springs was such a fun ride! Unfortunately, Andrew did NOT agree... he thought it was way too fast!

Waiting for Grammy's first loop roller coaster... she closed her eyes!!! 

Watching the Disney Junior Show... this was more our kids speed for this visit!

 

They both LOVED seeing Anna and Elsa.

The day after Disney we headed to Laguna Beach and stopped on our way at a regional park for a quick hike.

This was the point where I thought we were going to be vulture meat.
Mike was missing, we had no water, Addison wanted to be carried and MY GOD was it hot.

 

At our hotel in Laguna Beach. Definitely kinda a dump on the inside, but had this amazing view
and little area for the kids to play while we drank and grilled with other hotel patrons. 

After Laguna, we headed to Long Beach for Mike's conference (the whole point of the trip). Upon arrival, an old friend from Camp Curiosity came to visit and treated us all to lunch! While Mike was at the conference over the next couple days, Grammy and I took the kids to the Aquarium of the Pacific, did some shopping and we all went to see the Queen Mary.

Grammy ended up buying Andrew a new shirt after this!

Addison had enough shopping!

Back home to finish the month:

Andrew and his girlfriend Nadia walking home from school together for a play date!

Andrew's new astronaut themed room... and a helmet of course!

Whew! That was one busy month!
